The ambidextrous-friendly safety, located above the trigger on the left side of the lower receiver, blocks the trigger while still allowing the bolt carrier to be cycled when set to “SAFE”. A built-in bolt catch makes it easy to lock the bolt open for loading, clearing, or visual inspection.
